Abstract:
(EN) An enhanced spread-spectrum uplink technique provides more efficient packet transfer in a wireless network. A mobile station requests to utilize an uplink channel, typically, a physical dedicated channel. If the network will grant access, a base station sends back a channel-request-granted message, which specifies a transmission start time and length. The base station starts related downlink transmissions at the start time, and at a time thereafter, the mobile station starts sending packet data over the uplink physical dedicated channel. After a transmission of no more that the specified length, the mobile station ceases its uplink transmission on the dedicated channel, and the base station and/or the mobile station can immediately release one or more channel resources. The grant message and/or the subsequent signaling communications from the base station may also specify a modulation scheme and a channelization code for the uplink channel.
(FR) L'invention concerne une technique en liaison montante à étalement du spectre amélioré permettant d'obtenir un transfert de paquets plus efficace dans un réseau sans fil. Un station mobile demande à utiliser un canal en liaison montante, généralement, un canal physique dédié. Si le réseau autorise l'accès, une station de base renvoie un message de demande de canal accordée stipulant un moment de transmission et une durée. La station de base démarre les transmissions en liaison descendante audit moment de transmission, puis, la station mobile démarre l'envoi des données par paquets sur le canal physique dédié en liaison montante. Après la transmission d'une durée égale à la durée prévue, la station mobile cesse la transmission en liaison montante sur le canal dédié, et la station de base et/ou la station mobile peuvent immédiatement libérer une ou plusieurs ressources de canaux. Le message d'autorisation et/ou la communication de signalisation ultérieure provenant de la station de base peuvent également préciser un schéma de modulation et un code de découpage en canaux pour le canal en liaison montante.
