(EN)A system for providing anesthesia or assisted ventilation that has a post­inspiratory valve (28) fresh gas flow input is disclosed. In a preferred embodiment, a fresh gas flow diverter valve (30) is provided to permit an operator to provide fresh gas flow proximally or distally of the inspiratory valve (28). Also disclosed is an adapter (130) and other breathing circuit components for forming a system of the present invention. A method of providing anesthesia or assisted ventilation using low flow fresh gas is disclosed.
(FR)L'invention concerne un système destiné à l'anesthésie, ou à la respiration assistée, comportant une entrée d'écoulement de gaz frais à clapet post-inspiratoire (28). Dans le mode de réalisation préféré, on met en oeuvre un clapet de dérivation d'écoulement de gaz frais (30) permettant à un opérateur de fournir un écoulement de gaz frais de façon proximale ou distale par rapport au clapet inspiratoire (28). L'invention concerne aussi un adaptateur (130) et d'autres composants de circuit de respiration afin de former un système selon la présente invention.
