(EN)A gray level compensation mechanism is proposed for flexible displays. Flexible displays exhibit cell gap variations upon bending. The cell gap is measured during operation of the display (capacitive, poezoelectric). The pixel voltage is adjusted according to the measured cell gap. This results in a gray level that is independent of the local bending radius.
(FR)La présente invention concerne un mécanisme de compensation du niveau de gris pour des écrans flexibles. Les écrans flexibles présentent des variations de l'espacement des cellules à la courbure. L'espacement des cellules est mesuré pendant le fonctionnement de l'écran (capacitif, piézoélectrique). La tension pixel est réglée en fonction de l'espacement des cellules mesuré. Ce mode de réalisation permet d'obtenir un niveau de gris indépendant du rayon de courbure local.
