Abstract:
(EN) In a direct metal deposition system which builds up a metallic overlay on a substrate by moving the substrate relative to a laser in a metallic powder feed, the laser power is adjusted for successive layers by sensing the weld pool in a plurality of selected points in each layer and adjusting the power during successive layers to maintain a weld pool that corresponds to those achieved during deposition of a lower optimal layer. This compensates for heating of the substrate resulting from the deposition which tends to increase the pool size or temperature in the higher layers.
(FR) Dans un système de dépôt par DMD (direct metal deposition) qui permet de former un revêtement métallique sur un support par déplacement du support relativement à un laser dans une charge de poudre métallique, on règle la puissance du laser pour la formation des couches successives en mesurant le métal en fusion dans une pluralité de points sélectionnés de chaque couche, et on règle cette puissance pendant le dépôt des couches successives de telle manière que les caractéristiques du métal en fusion correspondent aux caractéristiques optimales obtenues lors du dépôt d'une couche inférieure. Ce système permet de compenser le chauffage du support provoqué par l'opération de dépôt, tendant à augmenter la quantité de métal en fusion ou la température dans les couches supérieures.
