Abstract

The present invention provides a curable composition comprising a fluoropolymer comprising interpolymerized units derived from (i) CF2=CF-Rf, wherein Rf is fluorine or a C1-C8 perfluoroalkyl, (ii) at least about 10 mole percent of a hydrogen-containing C2-C9 olefin, based on the total moles of said CF2=CFRf and said olefin, (iii) an average of two or more bromine atoms including one or more terminal bromine atom(s) per fluoropolymer chain, (iv) optionally CX2=CX-R, wherein each X is independently H, F, or Cl and R is a halogen or a C1-C8 alkyl or alkenyl group that may include one or more ether linkage(s), (v) optionally a bromine-containing cure site monomer; (b) optionally, a peroxide curing agent; and (c) optionally, a crosslinking co-agent.The invention also provides methods of making and using such fluoropolymer compositions.

La présente invention concerne une composition durcissable contenant (a) un polymère fluoré à unités interpolymérisées dérivé (i) de la formule CF2=CF-Rf, dans laquelle Rf désigne fluor ou un perfluoroalkyle en C1-C8, (ii) d'au moins 10 % en moles d'une oléfine en C2-C9 contenant de l'hydrogène, sur la base du nombre total de moles de CF2=CFRf et de ladite oléfine, (iii) d'une moyenne d'au moins deux atomes de brome avec un ou plusieurs atomes de brome terminaux par chaîne polymère fluoré, (iv) éventuellement de la formule CX2=CX-R, dans laquelle chaque X désigne indépendamment H, F ou Cl et R représente un halogène ou un groupe alkyle ou alcényle en C1-C8 pouvant présenter une ou plusieurs liaisons éther, et (v) éventuellement d'un monomère à site de durcissement contenant du brome, (b) éventuellement un agent de durcissement peroxyde et (c) éventuellement un co-agent de réticulation. Ladite invention concerne également des procédés de production et d'utilisation de ces compositions de polymère fluoré.
