Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung (10) und ein Verfahren zur Fehlerbehandlung in einem Drucker (12) oder Kopierer. Eine Vielzahl von Überwachungseinheiten (PU, PT) erfasst Fehlerzustände des Druckers (12) oder Kopierers und übermitteln diese einer Steuerung (CM). Mehrere nacheinander übermittelte Fehlerzustände werden in einem Speicher gespeichert und von der Steuerung (CM) bewertet. Die gespeicherten Fehlerzustände werden dabei mit vorgegebenen Fehlermustern verglichen, wobei zumindest eine Fehlerart ermittelt wird. Abhängig von der ermittelten Fehlerart werden weitere Schritte ausgeführt.

The invention relates to a device (10) and a method for handling errors in a printer (12) or copier. A plurality of monitoring units (PU, PT) detect error conditions of the printer (12) or copier and transmit said error conditions to a control unit (CM). Several successively transmitted error conditions are stored in a memory and are evaluated by the control unit (CM). The stored error conditions are compared with predefined error patterns, at least one type of error being determined. Additional steps are carried out according to the determined type of error.

L'invention concerne un dispositif (10) et un procédé de traitement d'erreurs d'une imprimante (12) ou d'une photocopieuse. Plusieurs unités de surveillance (PU, PT) détectent des états d'erreurs de l'imprimante (12) ou d'un photocopieur et les transmettent à un dispositif de commande (CM). Plusieurs états d'erreurs transmis successivement sont enregistrés dans une mémoire et évalués par le dispositif de commande (CM). Les états d'erreurs mémorisés sont comparés à des modèles d'erreurs prédéterminés, au moins un type d'erreur étant transmis. D'autres opérations sont exécutées en fonction du type d'erreur transmis.
