(EN)Methods of altering substrate specificity of beta-ketoacyl-ACP synthase, and engineered beta-ketoacyl-ACP synthases or produced are provided. DNA sequences and constructs for expression of engineered beta-ketoacyl-ACP synthases, as well as the novel beta-ketoacyl-ACP synthases produced therefrom are also provided. Such DNA sequences may be used for expression of the engineered beta-ketoacyl-ACP synthases in host cells, particularly seed cells of oilseed crop plants, for the modification of fatty acid composition.
(FR)L'invention porte sur des procédés de modification de la spécificité d'un substrat de la synthase bêta-cétoacyl-ACP, ainsi que sur les synthases bêta-cétoacyl-ACP mises au point ou produites. L'invention porte également sur des séquences d'ADN et des produits de recombinaison de l'expression des synthases bêta-cétoacyl-ACP mises au point, ainsi que sur les nouvelles synthases bêta-cétoacyl-ACP produites à partir de celles-ci.
