The present invention provides methods and apparatus for integrating the operation of a plurality of radio networks. The plurality of radio networks may utilize a common frequency spectrum. The radio center frequencies are adjusted so that frequency drift in relation to each radio network is reduced. Also, system information about the plurality of radio networks may be sent on a radio channel that is associated with one of the radio networks. An oscillator synchronizer (517) synchronizes a first reference oscillator (505) that is associated with a first radio network (501) and a second reference oscillator (509) that is associated with a second radio network (503) in order to adjust radio center frequencies. With a variation of the embodiment (519), a reference oscillator (509) of one of the radio network (503) adjusts center frequencies for radios (507) that are associated with the other radio network (501).

La présente invention concerne des procédés et un appareil qui permettent d'intégrer le fonctionnement d'une pluralité de réseaux radiophoniques. Les multiples réseaux radiophoniques peuvent utiliser un spectre de fréquences communes. Les fréquences centrales radiophoniques sont ajustées de sorte que la dérive de la fréquence relative à chaque réseau radiophonique soit réduite. De plus, des informations du système concernant la pluralité de réseaux radiophoniques peuvent être envoyées sur une voie radio qui est associée à un des réseau radiophoniques. Un synchronisateur d'oscillateur synchronise un premier oscillateur de référence qui est associé à un premier réseau radiophonique et un deuxième oscillateur de référence qui est associé à un deuxième réseau radiophonique afin d'ajuster les fréquences centrales radiophoniques. Une variante de la forme de réalisation de l'invention comprend un oscillateur de référence d'un des réseaux radiophoniques qui ajuste les fréquences centrales pour les radios qui sont associées à l'autre réseau radiophonique.
