Abstract

A radar capable of detecting a target even in the azimuth approaching the scanning range of a beam on the outside of the scanning angle range thereof. Variation of signal strength of a receiving signal (signal strength profile) in the azimuth direction incident to variation of beam azimuth is determined over a specified scanning angle range, and the azimuth of the target creating a signal strength profile forming a part of a profile peak appearing in the vicinity of outermost angle of the scanning angle range is estimated from that signal strength profile. For example, azimuth of the target is estimated from the ratio between receiving signal strength at the outermost angle of 10.0° and that at an angle of 9.5° on one-beam inner side.

L'invention concerne un radar capable de déceler une cible même dans l'azimut approchant la gamme d'exploration d'un faisceau hors de la gamme d'angles d'exploration correspondante. La variation de l'intensité du signal de réception (profil d'intensité de signal) dans la direction azimutale incidente par rapport à la variation de l'azimut du faisceau est déterminée sur une gamme d'angles d'exploration spécifiée, et on estime l'azimut de la cible qui produit un profil d'intensité de signal faisant partie intégrante d'une crête de profil située au voisinage de l'angle extrême de la gamme d'angles d'exploration, en se fondant sur ce profil. Par exemple, l'azimut de la cible est estimé à partir du rapport entre l'intensité du signal de réception pour un angle extrême de 10 degrés et l'intensité du signal de réception pour un angle de 9,5 degrés sur un côté interne de faisceau unique.

ビームの走査角範囲外で、該ビーム走査範囲に近接する物標の方位についても検知できるようにしたレーダを提供する。このため、所定走査角範囲に亘るビーム方位の変化に伴って生じる、方位方向の受信信号強度変化(信号強度プロファイル)を求め、走査角範囲の最外角付近に現れる山形の一部をなす信号強度プロファイルからその信号強度プロファイルを生じさせた物標の方位を推定する。例えば最外角10.0°での受信信号強度と、1本分内側の9.5°での受信信号強度との比から物標の方位を推定する。
