The invention concerns a method for the continuous cooking of pulp and a digester. At least two withdrawal positions (11E, 11D) for cooking fluid are arranged at different heights in the digester (10). The cooking fluid in the first and second position is withdrawn after the chips has had a retention time that differs by at least 10 minutes, preferably at least 20 minutes. The differential pressure between the positions is determined and when this exceeds a pre-determined level, a connection (17E) opens between these positions, establishing a flow parallel to a flow of cooking fluid between these positions in the digester. Several withdrawal positions are preferably connected in a common shunt system (17A-17F), with values (18A-18F), controlled by the differential pressure, located between adjacent positions. The system allows increases in production capacity, washing efficiency and level of operation, with reduced risk for pulp hanging and channelling.

L'invention concerne un procédé destiné à la cuisson continue d'une pâte ainsi qu'un lessiveur. Au moins deux positions de retrait (11E, 11D) pour le fluide de cuisson sont situées à des hauteurs différentes dans le lessiveur (10). Le fluide de cuisson dans la première et la seconde position est retiré après l'obtention d'une différence de temps de rétention des copeaux d'au moins 10 minutes. On détermine la pression différentielle entre ces positions et, lorsqu'elle dépasse un niveau prédéterminé, une liaison (17E) s'ouvre entre lesdites positions, d'où l'établissement d'un écoulement parallèle à un écoulement du fluide de cuisson entre les positions dans le lessiveur. Plusieurs positions de retrait sont de préférence reliées à un système de conduits collecteurs commun (17A-17F) pourvu de valves (18A-18F) commandées par la pression différentielle et disposées entre des positions adjacentes. Ce système permet d'augmenter la capacité de production, l'efficacité de lavage et le niveau de fonctionnement avec un risque réduit d'engorgement et de formation de canaux.
