(EN)A process for reducing the naphthenic acidity of petroleum oils, or their liquid fractions, is described, the process comprising a thermal treatment of the petroleum oils, or their liquid fractions, in the presence of an adsorbent the surface of which is covered by high molecular weight carbon compounds. Preferred adsorbents are the spent or coked FCC catalysts.
(FR)Cette invention se rapporte à un procédé servant à réduire l'acidité naphténique d'huiles minérales ou de leur fractions liquides, ce procédé consistant à réaliser un traitement thermique de ces huiles minérales ou de leurs fractions liquides, en présence d'un adsorbant dont la surface est recouverte par des composés de carbone de poids moléculaire élevé. Les adsorbants préférés sont les catalyseurs FCC épuisés ou cokéfiés.
