A mechanical coupling (10) for coupling a rotatable driving element (1a) to a rotatable driven element to be driven by the driving element (1a) , wherein the mechanical coupling (10) comprises a clutch mechanism (16) , mechanically between the driving element (1a) and the driven element; and wherein the clutch mechanism (16) is adjustable so that in normal use the driving element (1a) can drive the driven element substantially without slippage, but so that a given torque applied to said driven element, other than via the clutch (16) , in order to override the action of the driving element (1a) , causes the clutch mechanism (16) to slip, thereby overriding said driving element (1a) and allowing the driven element to be driven by the overriding torque, substantially without said overriding torque being applied to the driving element (1a) .

L'invention concerne un couplage mécanique (10) permettant de coupler un élément entraînant rotatif (1a) à un élément entraîné rotatif à entraîner par ledit élément entraînant (1a). Ce couplage mécanique (10) comporte un mécanisme d'embrayage (16) mécanique situé entre l'élément entraînant (1a) et l'élément entraîné, et le couplage mécanique (10) peut être ajusté, de telle manière que lors d'une utilisation normale, l'élément entraînant (1a) peut entraîner l'élément entraîné pratiquement sans provoquer de glissement, mais également de telle manière qu'un couple donné appliqué à l'élément entraîné, autre que via l'embrayage (16) afin d'asservir l'action de l'élément entraînant (1a), provoque le glissement du mécanisme d'embrayage (16). Ainsi, ledit élément entraînant (1a) est asservi et l'élément entraîné peut être entraîné par le couple d'asservissement, sans que le couple d'asservissement ne soit appliqué à l'élément entraînant (1a).
