(EN)The present invention relates to a device for non-invasive continuous monitoring of user's arterial blood pressure that is capable of being used in an ambulatory beat-to-beat blood pressure monitor (ABMP) including sensor means adapted to continuously detect blood pressure and to generate signals by contact with an external surface of the user's body at a location adjacent an artery. The device further includes microprocessor means for interpreting the signals generated by the sensor means to determine actual arterial blood pressure wherein the microprocessor is programmed to record a complete and continuous arterial pulse waveform.
(FR)L'invention concerne un dispositif de surveillance continue non invasive de la tension artérielle d'un utilisateur, pouvant être utilisé en tant que tensiomètre artériel battement par battement portatif (ABMP) comprenant un moyen de mesure conçu pour mesurer en continu la tension artérielle et pour générer des signaux par contact avec une surface externe du corps de l'utilisateur à proximité d'une artère. Ledit dispositif comporte également un moyen microprocesseur conçu pour interpréter les signaux générés par le moyen de mesure afin de déterminer la tension artérielle réelle, le microprocesseur étant programmé pour enregistrer une forme d'onde du pouls artériel continue et complète.
