A rear-projection display system comprises a light engine (13), a beamsplitter that receives light from the light engine, a projection lens (18) that receives an image from the beam-splitter, a rear-projection screen (23), and a mirror (21) that receives the image from the projection lens (18) and reflects it onto the screen (23). The beam-splitter has a reflecting element (17), receives an image, and reflects the image off the reflecting element (17) at an angle of incidence that is substantially unequal to 45 degrees.

Un système d'écran de rétroprojection comprend un moteur lumière (13), un diviseur de faisceau qui reçoit la lumière du moteur de lumière, une lentille de projection (18) qui reçoit une image du diviseur de faisceau, un écran de rétroprojection (23) et un miroir (21) qui reçoit l'image de la lentille de projection (18) et la réfléchit sur l'écran (23).
