(EN)The invention provides a thin, lightweight, durable electro-optic display assembly (1) that is significantly more flexible than known plastic electro-optic display element that contains an electro-optic material (2), disposed between two substrates (3) that are bonded together, such as by a gasket (4). The enhanced flexibility of the plastic display assemblies according to the invention is achieved by employing laminate display structures in which there is little, if any, bonding between adjacent layers of the laminate assembly.
(FR)L'invention concerne un ensemble d'affichage électro-optique (1) mince, léger et durable lequel est sensiblement plus souple qu'un élément d'affichage électro-optique en plastique connu contenant une matière électro-optique (2) disposée entre deux substrats (3) reliés ensemble par exemple par un joint (4). La souplesse accrue des ensembles d'affichage plastiques selon l'invention est obtenue par utilisation de structures d'affichage stratifiées dans lesquelles existent peu ou pas de liaisons entre les couches adjacentes de l'ensemble stratifié.
