(EN)Methods and apparatus are provided for removing emboli during an angioplasty, stenting or surgical procedure comprising a catheter having a funnel-shaped occlusion balloon (42) of uniform thickness disposed on a distal end of the catheter (41). The occlusion balloon is fused (67) to the distal end so that it provides a substantially seamless flow transition (72) into a working lumen of the catheter (Fig 3A). Additionally, a distal edge (68) of the occlusion balloon is configured to be in close proximity with an inner wall of a vessel to facilitate blood flow into the catheter and efficiently remove emboli.
(FR)L'invention concerne des méthodes et un dispositif destinés à retirer des emboles pendant une angioplastie, une pose de stent ou une opération chirurgicale, et utilisant un cathéter comprenant un ballonnet d'occlusion en forme d'entonnoir (42) d'épaisseur uniforme disposé sur une extrémité distale du cathéter (41).
