Abstract
(EN) A method is described for determining a set of recording pulse series parameters for recording information on an optical record carrier. First a series of test patterns is written on the record carrier with a values of the parameters. On reading the test patterns, the jitter values of each read signal is determined. The optimum values of the parameters are derived from a linear dependence between the set of recording pulse series parameters and the relative jitter values. The invention relates also to a device arranged to perform the method. The invention further relates to an optical record carrier comprising the optimum recording power as determined by the method according to the invention.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de déterminer un ensemble de paramètres de séries d'impulsions d'enregistrement pour enregistrer des informations sur un support d'enregistrement optique. Dans un premier temps, une série de séquences de test est enregistrée sur le support d'enregistrement avec une valeur des paramètres. A la lecture des séquences de test, la valeur de gigue de chaque signal lu est déterminée. Les valeurs optimales des paramètres proviennent d'une dépendance linéaire entre l'ensemble des paramètres de séries d'impulsions d'enregistrement et les valeurs de gigue relatives. La présente invention concerne également un dispositif conçu pour mettre en oeuvre ce procédé. L'invention concerne également un support d'enregistrement optique comprenant la puissance d'enregistrement optimale telle qu'elle est déterminée dans cette invention.
