(EN)A method and a device for manufacturing a bare optical fiber having an excellent end face of a cladding material when removing the cladding material of the optical fiber. The bare optical fiber is manufactured by irradiating laser beam onto the optical fiber having a core cladded by the cladding material, so as to melt the cladding material having a melting point lower than that of the core of the optical fiber, thereby removing the cladding material. At the same time, cyan gas generated when melting the cladding material of the optical fiber is subjected to ozonolysis and neutralized.
(FR)L'invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif pour la fabrication d'une fibre optique nue qui présente une excellente face d'extrémité en matériau de revêtement, après retrait du matériau de revêtement sur la fibre. La fabrication de la fibre optique nue consiste à irradier par faisceau laser la fibre dont le coeur est revêtu au moyen du matériau de revêtement, pour faire fondre ce matériau qui a un point de fusion inférieur à celui du coeur de la fibre, et à retirer ainsi le matériau de revêtement. Parallèlement, le gaz cyan produit au moment de la fusion du matériau de revêtement de la fibre est soumis à une ozonolyse et neutralisé.
