(EN)A technique for a display composed of organic electroluminescence elements, of reducing the generally called “burn-in” phenomenon that specific pixels degrade, the display luminance lowers, and uneven luminance occurs. When a display (10) displays an image captured by an image capturing section (32), a luminance approximately equal to the average luminance of the captured image is set for the non-display area where the image is not displayed. Thus, the degradation rates of the display elements over the whole display screen are smoothened.
(FR)L'invention concerne une technique destinée à un affichage constitué par des éléments électroluminescents. Cette technique consiste à atténuer un phénomène généralement connu sous le nom de 'brûlure' sous l'effet duquel des pixels spécifiques se dégradent, la luminance faiblit et une luminance irrégulière apparaît. Lorsqu'un affichage (10) affiche une image capturée par une unité de capture d'image (32), une luminance approximativement égale à la luminance moyenne de l'image capturée est établie pour la zone sans affichage où l'image n'est pas affichée. Ainsi, les vitesses de dégradation des éléments d'affichage sur l'ensemble de l'écran d'affichage sont nivelées.
