(EN)The present invention provides a device and method for monitoring the flow of aqueous humor within the eye. The invention provides that the aqueous flow rate and/or pattern within the anatomical structures of the eye can be determined by monitoring a traceable component. Such determination provides diagnostic indications of the degree and location of ocular disease associated with aqueous outflow, such as glaucoma, and can further provide post-treatment indications of effectiveness.
(FR)L'invention concerne un dispositif et un procédé permettant de surveiller l'écoulement d'une humeur aqueuse dans l'oeil. Le procédé de l'invention permet de déterminer la vitesse de l'écoulement aqueux et/ou son motif dans les structures anatomiques de l'oeil par surveillance d'un composant traçable. Cette détermination fournit des indications diagnostiques relatives au degré et à la localisation d'une maladie oculaire associée à l'écoulement aqueux, telle qu'un glaucome, et peut fournir ultérieurement des indications de post-traitement efficaces.
