A light sensitive display including a front electrode layer, a rear electrode layer comprising a plurality of pixel electrodes, a liquid crystal material located between a front electrode layer and a rear electrode layer, a front polarizer (62) located toward the front of the liquid crystal device relative to the front electrode layer, a rear polarizer (60) located toward the rear of the liquid crystal (64) device relative to the rear electrode layer and a plurality of light sensitive elements located within the display wherein each of the light sensitive elements includes a first transistor that senses ambient light, a second transistor that is inhibited from sensing ambient light with respect to the first transistor.

Cette invention concerne un écran photosensible comprenant : une couche d'électrodes avant, une couche d'électrodes arrière comprenant une pluralité d'électrodes de pixel ; un matériau à cristaux liquides disposé entre une couche d'électrodes avant et une couche d'électrodes arrière ; un polariseur avant (62) placé à l'avant du dispositif à cristaux liquides par rapport à la couche d'électrodes avant ; un polariseur arrière (60) placé à l'arrière du dispositif à cristaux liquides (64) par rapport à la couche d'électrodes arrière ; et une pluralité d'éléments photosensibles disposés à l'intérieur de l'écran, chacun de ces éléments photosensibles comprenant un premier transistor qui capte la lumière ambiante par rapport au premier transistor.
