(EN)A process for easily and industrially advantageously producing a high-purity 2-aralkyl-3-acetylthiopropionic acid and a high-purity 2-aralkylpropionic acid having a leaving group in the 3-position from easily available compounds. A 2-aralkyl-1-propanol having a sulfonyloxy group or halogen atom in the 3-position is oxidized with a permanganic acid salt under acidic conditions to produce a high-purity 2-aralkylpropionic acid having sulfonyloxy or the halogen in the 3-position. This acid is reacted with a thioacetic acid salt in the presence of water to produce a high-purity 2-aralkyl-3-acetylthiopropionic acid.
(FR)L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de produire de façon aisée et avantageuse sur le plan industriel un acide 2-aralkyl-3-acétylthiopropionique de haute pureté et un acide 2-aralkylpropionique de haute pureté possédant un groupe partant en position 3 à partir de composés facilement disponibles. Un 2-aralkyl-1-propanol possédant un groupe sulfonyloxy ou un atome d'halogène en position 3 est oxydé au moyen d'un sel acide permanganique dans des conditions acides afin de produire un acide 2-aralkylpropionique de haute pureté contenant un groupe sulfonyloxy ou l'atome d'halogène en position 3. Cet acide est mis en réaction avec un sel acide thioacétique en présence d'eau afin de produire un acide 2-aralkyl-3-acétylthiopropionique de haute pureté.
