Abstract:
(EN) A cardiac rhythm management device is disclosed in which pre−excitation pacing is applied to one or more sites in proximity to an infarcted region of the ventricular myocardium. Such pacing servers to either prevent or minimize post−infarct remodeling. In one embodiment, pacing electrodes are incorporated into the periphery of a patch which can be disposed over the infarcted region.
(FR) L'invention concerne un dispositif de gestion du rythme cardiaque dans lequel une stimulation pré-excitation est appliquée sur un ou plusieurs sites situés à proximité d'une région infarcie du myocarde ventriculaire. Une telle stimulation permet soit d'empêcher, soit de minimiser un remodelage après infarctus. Dans un mode de réalisation, des électrodes de stimulation sont introduites dans la périphérie d'un timbre pouvant être disposé sur la région infarcie.
