Abstract
(EN) The beam pattern associated with a multi-beam antenna array is adjusted if a first beam of the beam pattern is overloaded. A lobe of a second beam of the beam pattern can be steered away from a main lobe of the first beam. Also, if a user is located in an area covered by a second beam which is adjacent to the first beam, a third beam of the beam pattern can be selected for effectuating communication with the user. If a user is located in an area covered by the first beam, another beam of the beam pattern can be selected for effectuating communication with the user.
(FR) Selon cette invention, le modèle de faisceaux associé à un réseau d'antennes multifaisceaux est ajusté, si un premier faisceau dudit modèle de faisceaux est surchargé. Un lobe d'un second faisceau du modèle de faisceau peut être guidé loin d'un lobe principal du premier faisceau. Aussi, si un utilisateur est situé dans une zone couverte par un second faisceau adjacent au premier, un troisième faisceau du modèle de faisceaux peut être sélectionné pour réaliser une communication avec l'utilisateur. Si un utilisateur se trouve dans une zone couverte par le premier faisceau, un autre faisceau du modèle de faisceaux peut être sélectionné pour effectuer une communication avec l'utilisateur.
