Abstract:
(EN) The present invention describes a method and an electronic device where an alphanumeric keyboard is presented with the device. The alphanumeric keyboard is divided between the touch screen and touch-sensitive cover of the electronic device. The division is done so that the alphanumeric keyboard is divided into two or more parts. The aim of the division is that the size of the alphanumeric keyboard would be sufficient for easy inputting of alphanumeric characters. One part of the alphanumeric keyboard is presented on the touch screen of the electronic device. The other parts of the alphanumeric keyboard are placed on the touch-sensitive cover of the electronic device outside the touch screen. The keyboard set on the touch screen can be changed so that a different set of characters, e.g. numeric characters are shown on the touch screen.
(FR) Cette invention se rapporte à un procédé et à un dispositif électronique, dans lesquels un clavier alphanumérique est présenté avec le dispositif. Ce clavier alphanumérique est divisé entre l'écran tactile et le couvercle à effleurement du dispositif électronique. La division est conçue de telle sorte que le clavier alphanumérique est divisé en au moins deux parties. Le but de cette division est d'obtenir une taille de clavier alphanumérique suffisante pour une saisie aisée des caractères alphanumériques. Une partie du clavier alphanumérique est affichée sur l'écran tactile du dispositif électronique. Les autres parties du clavier alphanumérique sont placées sur le couvercle à effleurement du dispositif électronique, à l'extérieur de l'écran tactile. La partie clavier de l'écran tactile peut être modifiée pour qu'un groupe différent de caractères, par exemple les caractères numériques, soient affichés sur l'écran tactile.
