Abstract
(EN) The invention concerns a system for locating a person having fallen overboard. Said system is designed for participants in a race on the open sea. The inventive system is in the form of a clothing article worn by said person having fallen overboard and a receiver module (4) on board the boat. The clothing article comprises a floater forming an upwards-oriented column (2) when inflated. Additionally, there is provided in the clothing article, a radio transmitter (15) associated with the receiver module (4) and a GPS receiver (11) for determining the position of said person overboard. The GPS receiver (11) and the radio transmitter (15) are arranged in the free end of the column. The GPs position of the person overboard is transmitted to the receiver module (4) by the radio transmitter (15).
(FR) La présente invention concerne un système de repérage d'un homme à la mer. Ce système est destiné aux participants de course au large. Le système de l'invention se présente sous la forme d'un support vestimentaire portée par ledit homme à la mer et d'un module récepteur (4) à bord du bateau. Le support vestimentaire comprend un flotteur formant au gonflage une colonne (2) dirigée vers le haut. Il est par ailleurs prévu, dans le support vestimentaire, un émetteur radio (15) associé au module récepteur (4) et un récepteur GPS (11) pour déterminer la position dudit homme à la mer. Le récepteur GPS (11) et l'émetteur radio (15) sont placés dans l'extrémité libre de la colonne. La position GPS de l'homme à la mer est transmise au module récepteur (4) par l'émetteur radio (15).
