Abstract
(EN) A decoder system for concatenated codes such as turbo codes, comprises at least two component decoders mutually coupled through a reliability value handler for handling reliability values. The reliability value handler comprises a scaling unit for providing non linearly scaled reliability values. This reduces the reliability values provided by the component decoders, such that the non linearly scaled reliability values better reflect the genuine reliability information or Log Likelihood Ratio (LLR) in a practical realization of the decoder system generally having sub optimal component decoders.
(FR) L'invention concerne un système de décodeur pour codes concaténés, notamment des turbo-codes, comprenant au moins deux décodeurs de composants, reliés réciproquement par le biais d'un dispositif de traitement de valeurs de fiabilité permettant de traiter des valeurs de fiabilité. Ce dispositif de traitement de valeurs de fiabilité comprend une unité de mise à l'échelle permettant de produire des valeurs de fiabilité mises à l'échelle de manière non linéaire. Ceci permet d'obtenir des valeurs de fiabilité par le biais des décodeurs de composants, de sorte que les valeurs de fiabilité mises à l'échelle de manière non linéaire reflètent mieux les informations de fiabilité authentiques ou le logarithme du rapport de vraisemblance (LLR) dans une réalisation pratique du système de décodeur présentant généralement des décodeurs de composants sous-optimaux.
