The invention relates to an optical record carrier recording method for forming pits and lands by directing a radiation beam (12) onto a recording surface (21) of an optical record carrier (20). The radiation beam for each pit to be recorded is set to at least one write power level (Pw) capable of forming a pit during a write power irradiation period (31) and, for each land between the pits, to at least one bottom power level (P0) incapable of forming a pit during a bottom power irradiation period (51). In order to embed bits of an additional LML channel in the main channel without increasing the overall jitter it is proposed according to the invention that the bottom power level (P0) is temporarily raised to an LML land power level (Pl1) during an LML land irradiation period (55) for forming an LML land, the LML land power level (Pl1) being close to the write power level (Pw), and that the write power level (Pw) is temporarily lowered to an LML pit power level (Pp1) during an LML pit irradiation period (35) for forming an LML pit, the LML pit power level (Pp1) being close to the bottom power level (Po).

L'invention se rapporte à un procédé d'enregistrement de supports d'enregistrement optique, destiné à former des cuvettes et des intersillons au moyen d'un faisceau de rayonnement (12) dirigé sur une surface d'enregistrement (21) d'un support d'enregistrement optique (20). Pour chaque cuvette à enregistrer, le faisceau de rayonnement est fixé à au moins un niveau de puissance d'écriture (Pw) permettant de former une cuvette pendant une période d'irradiation de puissance d'écriture (31) et, pour chaque intersillon situé entre les cuvettes, ledit faisceau est fixé à au moins un niveau de puissance plancher (P0) ne permettant pas de former une cuvette pendant une période d'irradiation de puissance plancher (51). Afin d'incorporer les bits d'un canal LML supplémentaire dans le canal principal sans augmenter la gigue générale, le procédé selon l'invention propose : d'augmenter temporairement le niveau de puissance plancher (P0) à un niveau de puissance d'intersillon LML (P11) pendant une période d'irradiation d'intersillon LML (55), afin de former un intersillon LML, le niveau de puissance d'intersillon LML (P11) étant proche du niveau de puissance d'écriture (Pw) ; et de baisser temporairement le niveau de puissance d'écriture (Pw) à un niveau de puissance de cuvette LML (Pp1) pendant une période d'irradiation de cuvette LML (35), afin de former une cuvette LML, le niveau de puissance de cuvette LML (Pp1) étant proche du niveau de puissance plancher (P0).
