Abstract
(EN) Fibers having improved resistance to moisture at elevated temperatures comprise at least two elastic polymers, one polymer heat-settable and the other polymer heat-resistant, the heat-resistant polymer comprising at least a portion of the exterior surface of the fiber. The fibers typically have a bicomponent and/or a biconstituent core/sheath morphology. Typically, the core comprises an elastic thermoplastic urethane, and the sheath comprises a homogeneously branched polyolefin, preferably a homogeneously branched substantially linear ethylene polymer.
(FR) Cette invention concerne des fibres présentant une résistance accrue à l'humidité à des températures élevées et comprenant au moins deux polymères élastiques, l'un des deux étant thermodurcissable, l'autre étant thermorésistant, lequel polymère thermorésistant comprend au moins une partie de la surface externe de la fibre. Les fibres présentent habituellement une morphologie bicomposée et/ou biconstituée noyau/enveloppe. Le noyau comprend habituellement un uréthane thermoplastique élastique et l'enveloppe comprend une polyoléfine ramifiée de façon homogène, de préférence un polymère éthylénique sensiblement linéaire ramifié de façon homogène.
