(EN)A method in recovering nickel and possibly cobalt through leaching from inckel-containing laterite ore. Crushed and possibly pre-ground nickel-containing laterite ore is ground in an attritor mill into a size which is suitable for leaching. Then laterite ore in an attritor mill can be leached with leaching liquid , e.g. sulphuric acid, hydrochloric acid, or sulphuric acid + SO2, at relatively low temperatures. Nickel and possibly cobalt are recovered from the leaching solution.
(FR)L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de récupérer du nickel et probablement du cobalt par lixiviation d'un minerai de latérite contenant du nickel. On broie, dans une broyeuse par frottement, de la latérite contenant du nickel écrasé et probablement pré-broyé à une taille appropriée à la lixiviation. Puis, on peut lixivier la latérite moulue avec un liquide de lixiviation, par exemple, un acide sulfurique, un acide chlorhydrique ou un acide sulfurique ajoutée à SO2, à des températures relativement basses, le nickel et le cobalt pouvant être récupérés à partir de la solution de lixiviation.
