(EN)A video communication unit (405, 450) comprising a video input (415) for receiving a video signal transmission having a number of video or image frames, wherein each video or image frame includes a number of bit planes, the video input being operably coupled to a processor, the video communication unit characterised by said processor (410, 460) replicating at least one bit plane in at least two video or image frames to provide a tamper detection means of the video or image signal transmission. This enables fraudulent tampering of image and video to be detected, and the location of such tampering to be revealed to users of the material.
(FR)L'invention concerne une unité de communication vidéo (405, 450) équipée d'une entrée vidéo (415), laquelle reçoit des signaux d'image (vidéo) représentant un certain nombre d'images (vidéo), chaque image ayant plusieurs plans de mémoire d'image. L'entrée vidéo est couplée opérationnelle à un processeur (410, 460) qui reproduit au moins un plan de mémoire d'image dans au moins deux images (vidéo), assurant la détection de fraudes sur la transmission des signaux, avec possibilité pour les utilisateurs de localiser les fraudes.
