Abstract:
(EN) Ammonia synthesis gas production having a shift reaction stage employing a copper-based catalyst, wherein the air supplied to the process is passed through an absorber that removes sulphur and/or halide contaminants, is described. The absorber comprises a support carrying an absorbent for sulphur compounds and/or an absorbent for halide compounds. The removal of said contaminants improves the lifetime of. e.g. copper-zinc low temperature shift catalysts.
(FR) La présente invention concerne la production de gaz de synthèse ammoniac dans laquelle on utilise un étage de conversion catalytique comprenant un catalyseur à base de cuivre, l'air envoyé dans le processus ayant traversé un absorbeur qui a éliminé les contaminants tels que le soufre et/ou les halogénures. L'absorbeur comprend un support qui sert de base à un absorbant pour les composés soufrés et/ou un absorbant pour les composés halogénés. L'élimination de ces contaminants améliore la durée de vie des catalyseurs de conversion catalytique à basse température, tels que les catalyseurs à base de cuivre et de zinc.
