(EN)The present invention provides a much safer solution to pressurizing oxygen-containing gas feed lines at the start up of an oxygen-containing gas using process unit. All piping downstream of the main oxygen-containing gas block valve is pressurized with inert nitrogen prior to introducing the oxygen-containing gas into the piping. By equalizing with nitrogen it removes the hazard of slowly pressurizing the piping with the oxygen-containing gas and exposing the oxygen-containing gas to the substantial pressure drop associated with pressurizing piping to a high pressure.
(FR)L'invention concerne une solution plus sûre permettant de mettre sous pression des lignes d'alimentation de gaz renfermant de l'oxygène au démarrage d'une unité de traitement utilisant du gaz renfermant de l'oxygène. L'ensemble de la partie aval de la vanne de sectionnement principale du gaz renfermant de l'oxygène est mis sous pression au moyen d'azote inerte avant l'introduction du gaz renfermant de l'oxygène dans la conduite. L'équilibrage au moyen d'azote élimine les dangers d'une mise sous pression lente de la conduite au moyen du gaz renfermant de l'oxygène et d'une exposition de ce gaz à une chute de pression sensible associée à la mise sous pression élevée de la conduite.
