Abstract:
(EN) An integrated process for the production of a dialkyl carbonate and a diol from an alkylene oxide, carbon dioxide and an aliphatic monohydric alcohol is described in which an alkylene oxide if first reacted with carbon dioxide in the presence of a homogeneous carbonation catalyst to provide a corresponding cyclic carbonate and the cyclic carbonate is then reacted with an aliphatic monohydric alcohol in the presence of the homogeneous carbonation catalyst and/or a heterogeneous transesterification catalyst and recycling the homogeneous carbonation catalyst to provide a corresponding dialkyl carbonate and diol.
(FR) Cette invention concerne un processus intégré de fabrication de carbonate de dialkyle et d'un diol à partir d'un oxyde d'alkylène, de dioxyde de carbone et d'un alcoolé aliphatique monohydride. On fait tout d'abord réagir l'oxyde d'alkylène avec du dioxyde de carbone en présence d'un catalyseur de gazéification homogène pour l'obtention d'un carbonate cyclique correspondant. On fait ensuite réagir ce carbonate cyclique avec un alcool monohydrique aliphatique en présence du catalyseur de gazéification homogène et/ou d'un catalyseur de transestérification hétérogène et l'on recycle le catalyseur de gazéification homogène pour obtenir un carbonate de dialkyle et un diol correspondants.
