Abstract
(EN) A tire monitoring device (10) for monitoring various tire conditions of a tubeless tire mounted on a vehicle wheel having a recessed portion of the wheel and a wheel rim (12) defining the recessed portion, including a composite wheel having at least one wire free transmitter and a receiver incorporated into and embedded into the surface of the composite wheel in the recessed portions of the wheel. The transmitter and the receiver will monitor, transmit and receive signals about the tire condition, including tire pressure and temperature. Also included is an embedded antenna (20) permanently incorporated into the recessed portion of the composite wheel, such that the antenna (20) becomes part of the wheel, with an antenna winding length of from about 0.5 to about 5.0 meters long. Other embodiments include the use of a toroidal antenna in the recessed portion of the wheel.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un dispositif de surveillance pour pneumatique qui sert à surveiller diverses conditions d'un pneumatique sans chambre à air monté sur une roue de véhicule comportant une partie évidée et une jante (5) définissant la partie évidée. Ce dispositif comprend une roue composite ayant au moins un émetteur sans fil et un récepteur incorporés et intégrés dans la surface de la roue composite, dans les parties évidées de ladite roue. L'émetteur et le récepteur surveillent, émettent et reçoivent des signaux relatifs à l'état du pneumatique, y compris la pression et la température du pneumatique. Une antenne intégrée est incorporée à demeure dans la partie évidée de la roue composite, de sorte que l'antenne fait partie intégrante de la roue, la longueur d'enroulement de l'antenne étant comprise entre environ 0,5 et 5,0 mètres. Dans d'autres formes de réalisation, on utilise une antenne torique dans la partie évidée de la roue.
