(EN)A punch (20) having wings (30) is driven through framing members (12, 14) and then rotated. Rotation of the punch (20) causes the wings (30) to crimp the framing members (12, 14) together. An angular crimping technique where piercing members (120) are driven through framing members (12, 14) in at least two different directions to crimp the framing members together (12, 14). A fastenerless cinching tool (220) pierces adjacent framing members (12, 14) and crimps the framing members (12, 14) together.
