Abstract
(EN) A sizing agent for carbon fibers which can impart to carbon fibers excellent impregnability with resins and excellent adhesion to resins, has such excellent emulsion stability that the fibers being sized stably pass through the step, and enables the carbon fibers having the sizing agent adherent thereto to change little with time. The sizing agent comprises (A) a compound having at least one epoxy group per molecule, (B) an anionic surfactant having an ammonium ion as the counter ion, and (C) a nonionic surfactant, the proportion of the nonionic surfactant (C) to the anionic surfactant (B) being from 1/50 to 1/2 (by weight).
(FR) L'invention concerne un agent d'encollage pour fibres de carbone pouvant conférer aux fibres de carbone une excellente imprégnabilité avec des résines et une excellente adhérence aux résines. Cet agent présente une excellente stabilité d'émulsion, ce qui permet aux fibres qui sont encollées de subir le traitement de façon stable. Par ailleurs, les fibres de carbone traitées avec cet agent d'encollage s'altèrent peu avec le temps. Cet agent d'encollage comprend (A) un composé comportant au moins un groupe époxy par molécule, (B) un tensioactif anionique comportant un ion ammonium comme contre-ion et (C) un tensioactif non ionique, le rapport entre le tensioactif non ionique (C) et le tensioactif anionique (B) étant compris entre 1/50 et 1/2 (en poids).
