Abstract:
(DE) Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung und ein Verfahren zur Nachbehandlung von Verbrennungskraftmaschinenabgasen, insbesondere von Verbrennungsmotoren. Die erfindungsgemäße Vorrichtung und das Verfahren sollen einfach aufgebaut, kostengünstig hergestellt und betrieben werden können sowie die Strömungsverhältnisse im Abgasstrom geringer nachteilig beeinflusst werden. Zur Lösung dieser Aufgabe wird im Abgasstrom mindestens ein mit Kugeln gefüllter Bereich (3) vorgesehen, wobei die Kugeln bevorzugt Hohlkugeln sind. Das Abgas der Verbrennungskraftmaschine wird durch diesen Bereich geführt und es kann eine Partikelagglomeration mit gleichzeitiger Separation dieser Partikel erreicht werden. Zusätzlich können weitere Bereiche (5), die mit Metallfasern gefüllt sind, im Anscluß an den mindestens einen mit Kugeln gefüllten Bereich (3) angeordnet sein, durch den/die das Abgas zusätzlich geführt wird.
(EN) The invention relates to a device and a method for aftertreatment of exhaust gases from combustion engines, especially internal combustion engines. According to the invention, the device and method should be able to be constructed simply and be run cheaply, without exhaust gas flow characteristics being influenced in a detrimental manner. In order to solve this task, at least one area (3) containing metal balls, preferably hollow metal balls, is incorporated into an engine's exhaust flow stream. The combustion engine's exhaust gases are conducted through said area, thus enabling a simultaneous particle agglomeration and particle separation to take place. In addition to said area, the exhaust gases can be conducted through additional areas (5) filled with metal fibres that can be connected to at least one of the previous areas (3) filled with metal balls.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un dispositif et un procédé pour retraiter des gaz d'échappement issus de machines à combustion interne, notamment de moteurs à combustion interne. Le dispositif et le procédé selon cette invention doivent être de conception simple, de production et d'exploitation économiques et les conditions d'écoulement du flux de gaz d'échappement doivent être moins influencées de manière défavorable. A cette fin, au moins une zone (3) remplie de billes, de préférence de billes creuses, est pourvue dans le flux de gaz d'échappement. Le gaz d'échappement issu de la machine à combustion interne est guidé à travers cette zone, ce qui permet d'obtenir à la fois une agglomération de particules et une séparation de ces particules. Le gaz d'échappement peut en outre être guidé à travers d'autres zones (5) remplies de fibres métalliques, qui sont connectées à ladite zone (3) remplie de billes.
