Abstract:
(EN) Intravascular devices having a radiopaque layer theron for visualization are provided. The devices further includes a capping layer on the radiopaque layer to prevent exposure of the radiopaque material to surrounding tissues. A method of coating the device is also provided. The method includes using a unbalanced magnetic field magnetron to generate, from a source, metal atoms for coating and bombarding ions for compression deposited metal atoms to the surface of the device.
(FR) L'invention concerne des dispositifs intravasculaires présentant une couche radio-opaque permettant une visualisation. Les dispositifs comprennent une couche de recouvrement placée sur la couche radio-opaque, de manière à empêcher une exposition de la substance radio-opaque aux tissus situés à proximité. L'invention concerne également un procédé de revêtement du dispositif. Le procédé consiste à utiliser un magnétron à champ magnétique non équilibré permettant de générer, à partir d'une source, des atomes métalliques permettant d'exécuter le revêtement et des ions d'impaction permettant de comprimer des atomes métalliques déposés sur la surface du dispositif.
