CLAIMS

1. An outdoor cabinet (1) housing electrical, heat generating equipment (17) com- prising:
- a door (11) mounted to the cabinet (1) providing access to the electrical equipment (17),
- a climate control apparatus (38) arranged in, and supported by the door (11) for controlling the climate inside the cabinet (1) when the door (11) is closed, so as to maintain function and performance of the heat generating equipment (17),

- a duct system (23) extending through the cabinet, said duct system (23) having at least one air inlet (25) and at least one air outlet (27) being in flow communication with corresponding openings (35, 37) of the climate control apparatus (38) when the door is closed, said climate control apparatus (38) being adapted to circulate an air flow through the duct system (23) in a heat exchanging manner,
- at least one fan (21) arranged in the duct system (23) to facilitate the air flow between the at least one air inlet (25) and the at least one air outlet (27), characterised by
- a deflection means (50) arranged in the vicinity of the air outlet (27) and adapted to deflect the air flow exiting the air outlet (27) toward the at least one air inlet (25) when the door (11) is open and the climate control apparatus (38) no longer is in flow communication with the duct system (23), so as to create a protective air curtain in front of the heat generating equipment (17).

2. Outdoor cabinet according to claim 1, wherein said deflection means (50) is a slide tiltably mounted above the air outlet (27).

3. Method for controlling air temperature within an outdoor cabinet (1) housing electrical, heat generating equipment (17), when a cabinet door (11) providing access to the heat generating equipment is opened, characterised by the step of: - creating a protective air curtain in front of the heat generating equipment (17) by deflecting an air flow exiting an air outlet (27), arranged in the cabinet, toward an air inlet (25) arranged on a distance from the air outlet (27).

Method according to claim 3, further comprising the step of:
- automatically performing said deflection of the air flow, when the door (11) is opened and the air temperature outside the cabinet has fallen below a predetermined level.
