Abstract

A loop component (22) of a hook and loop fastener made of a fibrous, thermally retracted material. A method of making the loop component (22) includes heating one side (34) of a fibrous, thermally retractable material to a high enough temperature to cause the material to retract, thereby bonding the fibers on that side (34) while allowing the fibers on the opposite side (32) to gather into loops (28).

L'invention concerne une boucle constituée d'une fermeture velcro fabriqué à partir d'un matériau fibreux à rétraction thermique. L'invention concerne également un procédé de fabrication d'une telle boucle, consistant à chauffer un côté d'un matériau fibreux à rétraction thermique à une température suffisamment élevée pour entraîner la rétraction du matériau, ce qui permet de fixer les fibres sur ce même côté tout en permettant aux fibres placées sur le côté opposé de s'engrener dans les boucles.
