(EN)The invention relates to a method of reducing emission of ammonia from animal manure and a plant for the method and a used of such a plant. The method comprises adding to the manure of both an acid compound such as sulphuric acid, H¿2?SO¿4?, and of oxygen, O¿2?. The acid compound results in the pH value dropping to below 7.0 whereby the emission of ammonia is substantially limited. The oxygen results in a very high activity of bacteria transforming organic nitrogen compounds to in-organic compounds that are possible for plants to assimilate when manure is spread in fields. Surprisingly, it has also shown to be the case that the oxygen added, and thus the enhancing of the activity of the bacteria, results in a reduction of the amount of acid compound needed to be added and results in reducing, almost eliminating, the risk of hydrogen sulphide, H¿2?S, being formed.
(FR)L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de réduire les émissions d'ammoniac provenant du fumier animal, ainsi qu'une installation pour réaliser ce procédé et son utilisation. Le procédé consiste à ajouter au fumier à la fois un composé acide, par exemple de l'acide sulfurique, H¿2?SO¿4?, et de l'oxygène, O¿2?. Le composé acide entraîne une baisse de la valeur de pH en dessous de 7,0, ce qui limite sensiblement les émissions d'ammoniac. L'oxygène produit une activité bactérienne très intense qui transforme les composés organiques d'azote en composés inorganiques assimilables par les plantes lors de l'épandage du fumier dans les champs. Etonnamment, selon l'invention, il apparaît également que l'adjonction de l'oxygène, et par conséquent le renforcement de l'activité bactérienne, entraîne une réduction de la quantité de composé acide nécessaire, et réduit, voire élimine, le risque de formation d'hydrogène sulfuré, H¿2?S.
