(EN)A method of circulating water in a circulatory water tank system whereby the formation of biofilms, etc. with the inhabitation of legionella can be efficiently inhibited, the system can be effectively disinfected or sterilized by killing microorganisms such as legionella, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Escherichia coli, and foaming is controlled, while scarcely damaging human bodies or the system. This method comprises, in the water circulation pathway of the circulatory water tank system, circulating water containing a quaternary ammonium salt, 2-phenoxyethanol and a defoaming agent wherein the total concentration of the quaternary ammonium salt and 2-phenoxyethanol is from 10 to 100 ppm.
