(EN)A method is provided for controlling transitions between a first and second clock frequency signal in first and second coponents electrically coupled together and in communication with one another. The method comprises asserting a freeze signal to cause communications between the first and second components to cease. A freeze acknowledge signal is then received from the first and second components, indicating that communications therebetween have ceased. A change signal is delivered to the first and second coponents to cause the components to switch between the first and second clock frequency signals.
(FR)La présente invention concerne un procédé de gestion des transitions entre deux fréquences spécifiques du signal d'horloge dans deux composants électriquement couplés l'un à l'autre et en communication l'un avec l'autre. A cet effet, on fait en sorte qu'un signal de blocage provoque l'arrêt des communications entre les deux composants considérés. Il y a alors réception d'un signal d'accusé de réception de blocage de chacun des deux composants indiquant que les communications entre eux ont cessé. Un signal de changement est remis aux deux composants de façon à les amener à commuter d'un signal de fréquence d'horloge à l'autre.
