(EN)A method and apparatus for upgrading a porous, water-containing, carbonaceous solid material by removing water from the solid material is disclosed. One aspect of the method and apparatus is characterised by heating and cooling solid material under water saturation pressure conditions and retaining at least some water (typically 5-10 wt%) in pores in the solid material. Another aspect of the method and apparatus is characterised by operating the method and apparatus on a semi-continuous or a continuous basis.
(FR)Procédé et appareil permettant de valoriser une matière solide carbonée poreuse contenant de l'eau, en éliminant l'eau de ladite matière. Dans un de ses aspects, le procédé selon la présente invention consiste à chauffer et à refroidir la matière solide dans des conditions de pression de saturation en eau et à laisser au moins une partie de l'eau (typiquement de 5 à 10 % en poids) dans les pores de la matière solide. Dans un autre aspect, ledit procédé est mis en oeuvre en faisant fonctionner l'appareil sur une base semi-continue ou continue.
