A design method is provided which increases the efficiency of product development. The method comprises a first step (S11) of providing a 3-dimensional CAM model; a second step (S12) of subjecting the 3-dimensional CAM model to CAE analysis; a third step (S14) of modifying the 3-dimensional CAM model if the result of CAE analysis involves a problem; a fourth step (S17) of providing a die for a product based on the 3-dimensional CAM model; a fifth step (S18) of making a prototype using the die; a sixth step (S19) of testing the prototype; a seventh step (S21) of modifying the 3-dimensional CAM model depending on the test result; an eighth step (S21 and S16 to S20) of repeating the fourth to seventh steps until the result is satisfactory; and a ninth step (S22) of providing drawings based on the 3-dimensional CAM model obtained as a result of the eighth step.

L'invention concerne un procédé de conception permettant d'accroître l'efficacité de la mise au point de produits. Ce procédé comprend une première étape (S11) consistant à fournir un modèle FAO (fabrication assistée par ordinateur) tridimensionnel, une seconde étape (S12) consistant à soumettre ce modèle FAO tridimensionnel à une analyse IAO (ingénierie assistée par ordinateur), une troisième étape (S14) consistant à modifier le modèle FAO tridimensionnel si le résultat de l'analyse IAO implique un problème, une quatrième étape (S17) consistant à préparer une matrice destinée au produit, d'après le modèle FAO tridimensionnel, une cinquième étape (S18) consistant à fabriquer un prototype à l'aide de la matrice, une sixième étape (S19) consistant à essayer ce prototype, une septième étape (S21) consistant à modifier le modèle FAO tridimensionnel en fonction du résultat de l'essai, une huitième étape (S21 et S16 à S20) consistant à répéter les étapes quatre à sept, jusqu'à l'obtention d'un résultat satisfaisant, ainsi qu'une neuvième étape (S22) consistant à produire des dessins d'après le modèle FAO tridimensionnel obtenu à la suite de la huitième étape.
