Abstract

A device and method used to indicate vehicle inclination and conditions indicative of a potential rollover is disclosed. The device and method may be embodied in original equipment or in an aftermarket product in a manner so that the driver may easily determine the vehicle inclination. The device and method may also be used to detect the rate of change of inclination to provide a warning of adverse driving conditions. The device and method may also include a compass that indicated a corrected heading of the vehicle.

L'invention concerne un dispositif et un procédé permettant d'indiquer l'inclinaison d'un véhicule ainsi que les conditions indiquant un tonneau éventuel. Le dispositif et le procédé peuvent être intégrés dans l'équipement d'origine ou dans un produit de réserve, le conducteur ayant ainsi la possibilité de déterminer facilement l'inclinaison de son véhicule. Le dispositif et le procédé peuvent également servir à détecter la vitesse de changement d'inclinaison et, par conséquent, à avertir le conducteur des conditions de conduite défavorables. Le dispositif et le procédé peuvent enfin comporter un compas indiquant un cap corrigé du véhicule.
