The present invention is directed to new methods, medicaments and pharmaceutical compositions for improved cancer treatment that lower recurrence of the primary tumor by causing selective, acute destruction of tumor tissue and thereby exposing the immune system to large amounts of substantially non-denatured tumor material over a short period of time.
