The invention provides a delivery system for placing devices in atrial appendages. The system includes a catheterization apparatus having a tubular structure with one or more nested tubes, wires, and shafts. The tubes establish a passageway for moving a device through a body's vasculature and heart into an atrial appendage. An expandagle positioning guide is disposed on the distal end of a tube passing through the apparatus. The positioning guide is expanded in situ to engage atrial wall surfaces proximate to the atrial appendage for mechanical stabilizes the device delivery passageway. A shaft passing through the tubes transports the device through the passageway to the atrial appendage.

L'invention concerne un système d'administration permettant de placer des dispositifs dans les appendices auriculaires. Ce système comprend un appareil de cathéterisation ayant une structure tubulaire pourvue d'un ou de plusieurs tubes, fils et arbres emboîtables. Ces tubes constituent une voie de passage permettant de déplacer un dispositif dans le système vasculaire et le coeur et d'introduire ledit dispositif dans un appendice auriculaire. Un guide de positionnement expansible est disposé à l'extrémité distale d'un tube passant dans l'appareil. Ce guide de positionnement est déployé in situ de manière à venir en contact avec les surfaces des parois atriales à proximité de l'appendice auriculaire et à constituer un support mécanique. Le guide de positionnement ainsi déployé stabilise du point de vue mécanique la voie de passage d'administration du dispositif. Un arbre passant dans les tubes transporte le dispositif par la voie de passage vers l'appendice auriculaire. Ce système comprend un appareil de cathéterisation pour l'administration transseptale des dispositifs. Un tube ou une gaine extérieurs permettent de pénétrer et de traverser la cloison septale. Un dispositif de fixation expansible est disposé vers une extrémité de la gaine. Ce dispositif de fixation est déployé in situ de manière à venir en contact avec les parties des surfaces de la cloison traversée de manière à restreindre davantage un mouvement accidentel de la gaine traversant la cloison.
