Multiple streams of bits are received. One or more bits are selected from a stream of bits based, at least in part, on a space control register value and a time control register value. In one embodiment, a time control register stores a value indicating a selected bit from a sequence of bits, a counter counts bits in the sequence of bits from a predetermined bit, and a comparator is coupled to the time control to the time control register and to the counter to generate a load signal when a value stored in the time control register and a value provided by the counter are equal. The load signal causes the latch to load a value output by the multiplexer.

Selon l'invention, plusieurs trains de bits sont reçus. Un ou plusieurs bits sont choisis dans un train de bits sur la base, au moins en partie, d'une valeur de registre de commande spatiale et d'une valeur de registre de chronométrage. Dans une forme de réalisation, un registre de commande stocke une valeur indiquant un bit choisi dans la suite de bits; un compteur compte les bits dans la suite de bits à partir d'un bit préétabli; et un comparateur est couplé au registre de chronométrage et au compteur afin de produire un signal de charge lorsque la valeur stockée dans le registre de chronométrage et une valeur fournie par le compteur sont égales. Le signal de charge amène le verrou à faire charger une sortie de valeur par le multiplexeur.
